CLASS DESCRIPTION: Starts June 6 to July 20, 2016
Enjoy the pace and heat of summer with this cool art class, learning techniques of watercolor painting. Grow in your watercolor skills by painting fun scenes. This class runs between June 6 and July 23 (with the week of June 27- July 4 off). Each week will consist of two sessions in which we will explore one painting theme.

8-10 students, 8 years and older
Time: Mondays and Wednesdays 11:15 am-12:15 pm Pacific.
Twice weekly. June 6 – July 20, 2016 (with the week of June 27 – July4 off).
Class Registration Fee: $245.00 (GHF Members receive a $15 discount off of each class they sign up for. GHF Members must be logged in to access the Member-only GHF Online registration form. The first day of class will be displayed on the Event Calendar.
Week 1: Simple watercolor techniques such as mixing colors, wet on wet painting, wet on dry painting, inking before painting, and inking after painting.
Week 2: Painting watercolor flowers using the drop technique
Week 3: Painting birds in trees
Week 4: Painting forest/camping scenes.
Week 5: Painting cats and/or dogs sleeping outdoors.
Week 6: Painting beach scenes.
- Watercolor paints
- Watercolor paper and/or mixed-media vellum
- Water in an open water container
- Pencil (I prefer mechanical pencils.)
- Eraser (I prefer white hi-polymer erasers)
- Black permanent marker
- White gel pen (I recommend the Uniball Signo UM-153)
